It was 6:45 p.m. on August 17, 2007, when a devastating 7.9 earthquake hit the coastal towns south of Lima, Peru. Hope crumbled as adobe homes tumbled to the ground. Over 500 people lost their lives, five of them members of the Church. The following are stories of three families who feel that miracles played a part in sparing their lives during that catastrophe. These are stories about three families in San Clemente and La Villa, Peru, who experienced sacrifice, faith, courage, love, and indeed, many miracles.
