Michael V. Bourland

 

 

Michael V. Bourland is the founding shareholder of the Fort Worth law firm of Bourland, Smith, Wall & Wenzel, P.C. The firm, comprised of 14 attorneys, represents individuals, closely held and family businesses, professional practices, charitable organizations, and insurance companies within its area of practice. Bourland received his BA and JD degrees from Baylor University and an LL.M. in Taxation degree from the University of Miami, Florida. Bourland is Board Certified (Estate Planning and Probate Law)--Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and a former member of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Council (State Bar of Texas Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section). Bourland spends a significant amount of time contributing to various publications, as well as speaking in various forums throughout the United States on business, tax, estate planning, and charitable giving topics. Bourland has spoken at numerous seminars conducted by, among others, the American Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, University of Texas, Baylor University, and Texas Society of CPAs.
