Helen Monroe is a principal in the Endowment Development Institute of Bonsall, California. Founded in 1991, the Institute is a management consulting firm specializing in building endowments, strategic planning, foundation management, and board of directors' roles and responsibilities. For 10 years she was executive director of the San Diego Community Foundation. Monroe is a frequent speaker at the NCPG conferences. Her work has also helped the philanthropic sector in Canada, Great Britain, and Poland. She is a member of the San Diego Planned Giving Roundtable. She is a graduate of Chatham College, Pittsburgh, PA.
