The Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin is one of more than 700 community foundations in the United States today. Established in 1987 as the Wausau Area Community Foundation, we expanded our service area and name to encompass north central Wisconsin in 2002. The Community Foundation is a nonprofit, community corporation created by and for the people of north central Wisconsin and is designed to offer people a variety of ways to touch their community through philanthropic giving.
