We are looking at our community foundation to be a source of grants for individuals training for the 2012 olympics. The problem is there is only one person in our county who meets the IFAA "A" standard and would be an individual competitor. The foundation is concerned that donors would know who the money was going to in making the gift and are concerned about private inurement. How can you ever support anyone who is known to be the best if this is the rule. Anyone have any experience or thoughts on this?
